Can you believe 2013 is almost over? Where did the year go? It’s been a fantastic year for me with a lot of amazing opportunities. I’ve got to meet so many really cool people this year. It’s nice to connect with fellow anime/manga/all things geeky fans. By the way, did you know you can hear my vocal talent in the new Evangelion 3.33 movie? I’m one of the background voices when the ship is under attack. Look for my name in the credits at the end of the movie!
Also, I recently was asked to join a really cool group. The group is called “Voice Balloons Draw-ma Club” and it’s where voice actors and artists in the DFW area get together once a month and create art for charity. We sell our collaborative art pieces in charity auctions at conventions. The group currently comprises of Sonny Strait, Micah Solusod, Aphia Yu, Scott Freeman, Tia Ballard, Josh Grelle and myself. Soon we will have a Facebook page for our awesome group, so stay tuned for that information. In the meantime, if you are a convention that is having a charity auction and would like to include something from our group, please contact us!
So far for 2014 I am booked for Helio-Con on January 26th, Mini A-kon on February 22nd, and Project A-kon 25. I will also be doing a manga drawing workshop in Krum, TX on March 1st. If you are a library or a convention and are interested in booking me, please contact me at kriscomics@gmail.com.
